Johnnie R. Moore, Jr. is the founder and CEO of The JR Moore Group, Inc., a bestshoring strategy consultancy serving freight forwarders, 3PLs, and logistics providers worldwide.
With 35+ years in supply chain and logistics, including 28 years at DHL Global Forwarding, Johnnie brings deep operational expertise to every engagement. His final 13 years at DHL were spent as Head of Global Service Center Business Partner Management for the Americas, where he built and scaled shared services operations from 4 people to 1,300+ employees across four countries.
During that tenure, Johnnie led 100+ transformation projects spanning operations, finance, HR, IT, sales, and customer service. His work consistently delivered measurable results: cumulative cost savings of approximately €200M over 13 years, 70% improvements in key performance indicators, and operational models that scaled without sacrificing service quality. These figures reflect direct labor arbitrage alone and do not account for additional gains from process standardization, quality improvements, and reduced operational risk.
This track record earned DHL’s CEO Award for his Ocean Freight transformation project, recognition of sustained excellence in building operational capability at scale.
