I’ve just arrived in Nashville for the NextGen Supply Chain Conference, where logistics and technology leaders from around the world are gathering to exchange ideas, explore emerging capabilities, and discuss what’s next for our industry.
For The JR Moore Group, Inc., this event represents more than attendance — it’s an opportunity to engage directly with the conversations shaping the future of global logistics. Our firm works with supply chain and logistics organizations — as well as companies with large and complex logistics operations — to rethink how work gets done through global operating models that bring people, process, and technology into alignment.
At this year’s conference, I’m especially focused on three areas that consistently define the work we do with clients:
Scaling shared services with agility while maintaining operational discipline and control. Integrating automation and AI in ways that enhance human capability and drive measurable outcomes. Designing balanced global delivery models that combine nearshore, offshore, and onshore strengths for sustainable, resilient performance.
These topics go beyond technology — they’re about strategic design, execution, and balance. And that’s where The JR Moore Group, Inc. operates best: as a vendor-agnostic, fiduciary partner, acting solely in the interest of our clients to help them build the most effective, efficient, and future-ready operating models possible.
This week is also about expanding our network — building connections with leaders, solution partners, and collaborators who share our belief that logistics transformation works best when it’s grounded in practical execution and guided by real experience.
If you’re attending NextGen Supply Chain, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect in person. And for those following from afar, I’ll be sharing my key takeaways and reflections after the event on our Publications page.

The 30th Annual SSOW Americas convenes in Orlando March 16-19. On Wednesday, March 18, Johnnie Moore serves as IDG Co-Facilitator on AI Governance, Panel Moderator for the GBS Scope Expansion discussion, and Track Chair for the afternoon program featuring CSL Behring and McCormick case studies. Here is what the agenda reveals about the design decisions GBS organizations need to make now.
Bestshoring is not a location. It is the architecture that governs where work lives, who does it, and how it is organized. This visual framework makes the hierarchy clear.
A Bestshoring Case Study in Digital & AI Readiness Milestone updates fragmented across your network. Some through EDI. Most manual. Every location doing it differently, on their own timeline. The result: stale data, missed exceptions, reactive firefighting, and the question that signals your network is running blind: “Where is my freight?” If your customers are
I recently had the pleasure of attending the CSCMP South Florida Roundtable’s panel on Florida’s evolving regulatory landscape. Kudos to Megan Smith, VP of Programs, and the organizing team for bringing Fernando Valle and Amanda Fraser from Colodny Fass to share insights on how legislation, insurance, and local regulations impact logistics operations.
