Our Founder
Johnnie R. Moore, Jr. is the Founder and CEO of The JR Moore Group, Inc., a Bestshoring strategy consultancy serving freight forwarders, 3PLs, 4PLs, and complex logistics operators worldwide.
With 38 years of logistics and supply chain leadership, including 28 years at DHL Global Forwarding, Johnnie built the Americas Shared Services operation and developed global frameworks adopted across the enterprise. His final 13 years at DHL were spent as Head of Global Service Center Business Partner Management for the Americas, where he scaled shared services from inception through full enterprise maturity across multiple countries and functions.
What began as an Americas-focused mandate grew into something much larger. The frameworks, governance models, and operational standards Johnnie developed were adopted across DHL’s entire Global Service Center network. By the time he left DHL, the organization had grown to nearly 6,000 employees worldwide, a scale that reflected not just geographic expansion but the adoption of a consistent operating philosophy across the enterprise.
During that tenure, Johnnie led more than 100 transformation projects spanning operations, finance, HR, IT, sales, and customer service. His work delivered cumulative cost savings of approximately €200M over 13 years, 70% improvements in key performance indicators, and operational models that scaled without sacrificing service quality. These results reflect direct labor arbitrage alone and do not account for additional gains from process standardization, quality improvements, or reduced operational risk. That sustained performance earned DHL’s CEO Award for his Ocean Freight transformation initiative.
Today, Johnnie applies that operating experience to help logistics organizations make deliberate decisions about where work lives, who does it, and how it should be structured. That discipline is Bestshoring, and it is the foundation of everything The JR Moore Group builds with its clients.
Johnnie serves as Vice President of Membership for the CSCMP South Florida Roundtable, where he is focused on strengthening the regional supply chain leadership community.
