Our Founder
Johnnie R. Moore, Jr. is the Founder and CEO of The JR Moore Group, Inc., a bestshoring strategy consultancy serving freight forwarders, 3PLs, 4PLs, and complex logistics operators worldwide. He brings 38 years in logistics and supply chain, 28 of them at DHL Global Forwarding, where he built the shared services for the Americas from 4 FTEs to 1,300 and developed global frameworks adopted across a network of nearly 6,000 employees worldwide, spanning 6 centers in 5 countries across 3 continents.
Those 28 years spanned operations, logistics, and shared services leadership. Across his final 13 years, leading Business Partner Management for the Americas, Johnnie led more than 100 transformation programs spanning operations, finance, HR, IT, sales, and customer service. That work delivered cumulative cost savings of approximately €200M, 70% improvements in key performance indicators, and operating models that scaled without sacrificing service quality. These results reflect direct labor arbitrage alone, and the work earned DHL’s CEO Award for his Ocean Freight transformation initiative.
What began as an Americas mandate became an enterprise standard. The frameworks, governance models, and operational standards Johnnie developed were adopted across DHL’s shared services network. That reach reflected not geographic expansion alone but the adoption of a consistent operating philosophy across the enterprise.
Today, Johnnie applies that operating experience to help logistics organizations make deliberate decisions about where work lives, who does it, and how it should be structured. That discipline is bestshoring, and it is the foundation of everything The JR Moore Group builds with its clients. He serves as Vice President of Membership for the CSCMP South Florida Roundtable.
