Bestshoring Readiness Feasibility Checklist™
Bestshoring Readiness Feasibility Checklist™
A strategic diagnostic for freight forwarding, 3PL, and logistics executives evaluating bestshoring for the first time. 20 questions, about 5 minutes, and a scored readout across the Six Dimensions of Bestshoring Readiness.
A 5-Minute Strategic Diagnostic
Readiness Is Decided Before the First Contract Is Signed
The Bestshoring Readiness Feasibility Checklist™ (BRFC™) is a 20-question diagnostic for executives whose organizations are evaluating their first shared services, BPO, or distributed delivery move. In about 5 minutes it scores your readiness across the Six Dimensions of Bestshoring Readiness, shows you which foundations are in place and which gaps would surface after commitment, and returns a prioritized 30, 60, and 90 day view of what to do next.
It is the pre-architecture diagnostic: before you commit to the location and operating model decisions the Bestshoring Architecture defines, it asks whether you are ready to make them well.
The instrument was built by Johnnie R. Moore Jr., Founder and CEO of The JR Moore Group, Inc., who brings 38 years in logistics and supply chain, 28 of them at DHL Global Forwarding, where he scaled the shared services for the Americas to 1,300 FTEs and developed global frameworks adopted across a network of nearly 6,000 employees worldwide.
If your organization already runs shared services, BPO, or distributed delivery operations, you are asking a different question. The Bestshoring Readiness Health Check™ (BRHC™) is built to assess the health of what you have.

20 Questions Across the Six Dimensions
Answer each question honestly based on your current situation. Mark Yes or No. Your Yes answers total automatically to determine your readiness band.
Are you managing today’s priorities or yesterday’s design decisions?
Has leadership defined a clear strategic outcome that Bestshoring is intended to support?
Is cost reduction or capacity expansion a documented strategic priority with executive sponsorship?
Have you identified the specific triggers that would tell you when to reassess your delivery design?
Is your structure delivering value beyond cost reduction?
Do you have sufficient scale in functions that could be restructured, such as finance, customer service, IT support, or operations?
Are the processes in scope documented or documentable with reasonable effort?
Have you evaluated the delivery model against value criteria beyond cost, including resilience, agility, and scalability?
Does your people model strengthen or strain service delivery?
Do you have the internal management bandwidth to oversee a first Bestshoring transition, especially through year one?
Have you identified which current roles will need to evolve as automation and AI reshape the work that remains?
Does your talent strategy include building capabilities for judgment and exception handling, not only process execution?
Is your governance a foundation for agility or a barrier to change?
Have you defined how accountability and decision rights will be structured before committing to a delivery model?
Are you prepared to absorb short-term productivity impact during the transition period without compromising customer commitments?
Can your data and systems accommodate secure remote access under current compliance requirements?
Does your model enable or hinder the business it serves?
Have you defined what success looks like from the customer’s perspective, not only internal operational metrics?
Have you assessed how a Bestshoring transition could affect customer experience in the markets you serve?
Can you measure quality through defined metrics tied to customer outcomes rather than activity volumes?
Are you positioned to leverage AI, or will it expose your gaps?
Can the work in scope be performed with standard technology (computer, internet, common business software) without specialized infrastructure?
Is your data foundation clean enough that routine transactions could be automated without first rebuilding the underlying data?
Do you have a defined approach for how Generative AI and Agentic AI will augment, not simply replace, people and processes?
Are your compliance and data protection frameworks ready to address AI decision explainability and auditability?
Have you modeled how automation could change the scope, structure, or location of work before you commit to a delivery design?

A score is a snapshot; the conversation is where it becomes a plan. The natural next step from a completed Feasibility Checklist is a Snapshot conversation: 45 minutes, your results on the table, and a clear view of what deliberate bestshoring could look like for your operation.
